Spaghetti

Brandon made Spaghetti today. I was so shocked! I had no idea he cooked any 'real' food! Kayla heard about it and wanted some so I got to take a snapshot of it.

Cookies and milk are my new thing...virtually replacing my candy bars I used to eat nightly-now I have to work on not eating them so much!

Bleach Oh Marvelous Bleach

I spent the day playing with bleach today. I do mean playing-I LOVE bleach, I get such a happy feeling knowing that all those nasty germs are gone! Having a clean 'fridge is one of my favorite things. Am I the only one who bleaches their 'fridge about once a month??

Scared Outta My Mind

Tonight Roxie got a treat that she normally doesnt get. I keep her on a strict diet of only her dog food (Pinnacle). Why did she get a treat? Because the two of us were very upset and I was trying to help us both calm down.

Tonight I was sitting on the couch and heard this horrible noise. I went outside to see what it was and my brother starts screaming at me (from his yard) to go back into my house. I realize at that point that it was the dogs in a horrible fight (that I cant see). I ran back to get the hose (which had been moved) and in the mean time Brandon was able to get the dogs to separate and Roxie came running to me. I just sat on the ground with my arms around her neck holding on.

Then I realize Brandon is screaming at me again (I was so out of it I didnt even notice at first). He was yelling at me to get my dog. I told him I had her then picked her up (barely) and carried her into the house and checked her over. I couldnt find anything wrong with her other than her neck being all wet. Brandon then called me on the phone and told me that his dog had her pinned down by the throat!

This dog has been a problem from the beginning-and I never wanted him in the first place but everyone else kept saying he was a good dog. I told Brandon that was the end of the line that if he didnt get rid of the dog that was his deal but from now on the dogs cant be around each other at all.

Beyond the fact that he tried to kill my dog I cannot and will not have that kind of risk around Kayla. I dont care if he sends the dog away to the training camp he planned on or not Im done putting up with it.

I was so freaked out that I couldnt stop shaking and thought I was going to throw up. Roxie was really upset too, wanting in and out of the house and walking around whining. It was horrifying and something I wont go through again.

Disneyland

Alayna and Sam were nice enough to invite Kayla and I to join them for a day of fun at Disneyland. The kids got along great (after Kayla warmed up) the kids taking turns riding together on rides. I really enjoyed getting to see them again. It's great to have a friend that not matter how far away they are when you do see each other its a fun time without awkwardness.

I had an amazing time and I hope we get to do it again :)

My one question for Mr. Walt Disney-how many rides can you make that ALL go in circles??

Waiting

I put Kayla to bed early tonight so she will be well rested for tomorrow. I know I will have to wake her up to get on the road since she is a late sleeper. She is so excited, she kept asking all day if we were going to Disneyland today, and even did an adorable dance (to bad I didnt catch it on film).

Cards

Lately I have been doing things I used to do all the time again, such as playing cards solo, and puzzles. Im enjoying it.

Growing Again

On Wednesday Roxie turns 6 months old. Its amazing how fast she has grown. Ive been told a lot that at 7mo she will go through this horrible chewing stage but Im crossing my fingers since she has been so good up to now.

Puzzle

One of the things I enjoy doing in my free time is puzzles. Today I was in the mood to scrap but had company so instead I worked a puzzle since I can do that in my living room and not be rude, lol.

Randy-Daddy

Kayla has a special place in her heart for my dad. No one knows why but she has always called him Randy-Daddy. Today I took the girls to my parents for dinner and though my dad couldnt get home in time for dinner when he did get home Kayla literally did the happy dance and went running to give him a hug. I feel so bad that she doesnt get to see them more often, I need to take her more frequently.

Kayla's Room-Curtains

Today I put up curtains in Kayla's room. Im in love with stripes and polka-dots right now so these are just perfect for me!

Chillin'

Why is it that clothes hampers are so much fun? I think Kayla played with the hamper more than she played with her toys all day.

New Bed!

Kayla got to see her new room for the first time today. She was very excited to see her own bed. We will see how she does when its time for bed, lol.

Im still finishing up Kayla's room (money is an issue-ick)so I dont want to post a picture of it unfinished. BUT here is a sneak peek-the pictures on one of the walls.

More Change

Maria came over to help me work out Kayla's play area. By the time we were 'done' for the day we had moved my scrap stuff into the play area and turned the scrap room into Kayla's own room-with a bed and everything. Tomorrow we are going to finish things up and organize my scrap stuff.

"Someone's Taking Pictures of Me"

This weekend Kayla, Josie and Maria stayed for a few days and so of course my camera was out snapping pictures all day everyday. One particular time Kayla didnt know I was standing there and after the flash went off she kept playing with her toys but very casually said "Someone's taking pictures of me"...lol.

In this particular shot Josie was laying on the couch and Kayla wanted to be in the shot too so I helped her lay down in the same position, with her feet up the back of the couch. Its a good thing she doesnt mind having her picture taken all the time!

Beauty

Kayla spent a long time playing with Roxie tonight-snuggling was big hit. Its a good thing Ive relaxed-before her laying on the dog and dog bed would have freaked me out, lol.

Kayla's Room

Kayla now has her own 'room' at Nina's. Really its just the dining area that is set apart from the rest of the house-and there is no bed. But now I dont have to have all those toys everywhere! Seriously I had no idea she had that many toys here!

Josie & I

Today Maria/Kayla/Josie hung out here with me again-we spent the day watching Nip/Tuck which was fun. While cuddling with Josie I realized I dont have many (if any) pictures of Josie and I so I snapped a few-this one was my favorite.

Full Moon

As I drove home from my long day today I saw this beautiful full moon-at 7pm. I LOVE seeing the moon when its still light outside.

Park Day

Maria and I took Kayla and Josie to the park (though Josie was unimpressed, and slept the whole time). It's amazing how fast Kayla is growing up. I just took her to that park over the summer and she couldnt even go down the bigger slides by herself and now she is climbing 'up' the slides all by her self! She had a blast. After the park we went to lunch and she asked to ride with me (awww) and as we were walking into RR she hugged me and told me she had fun at the park-such a sweetie.

Insane Mess

I worked Brandon's shop today and it was completely insane. For some reason it was worse than the first day I was there and had no idea what I was doing. The paperwork is insane-ick. Im just glad the day is over.

Josie's First Scrap Page

Today I finally got scrap Josie, and use my Cricut Expression. Fun!

Quiet

Last night Maria/Kayla/Josie stayed the night and I got up during the night with Josie so that Maria could get some rest. After they left this morning I didnt feel like doing anything except napping. I didn't end up napping, but I layed on the couch all day and read my new book. I LOVE Lora Leigh, a bit spicy for a lot of people probably-but she's an awesome writer!

Love

Kayla and I spent the day at my moms so the kids could play together. As my mom was putting the bouncer away Matthew and Kayla attacked her. They have so much fun together. I need to make more of an effort to get them together more often.

Grocery Shopping

Today was grocery shopping day. I was very happy to see that meat was on a good sale today. Just between the steaks and pork chops I bought I saved $27!! Now my freezer is nice and full too which is a great feeling.

The grocery list... I dont mind grocery shopping its the making the list I hate. I never seem to know what I should buy, and then when Im home I always feel like there is nothing to eat. Tomorrow I plan to take care of that list :)
