Carrot Face

One of my favorite things about kids is teaching them to try new foods.

Park Day

Maria and I took Kayla and Josie to the park (though Josie was unimpressed, and slept the whole time). It's amazing how fast Kayla is growing up. I just took her to that park over the summer and she couldnt even go down the bigger slides by herself and now she is climbing 'up' the slides all by her self! She had a blast. After the park we went to lunch and she asked to ride with me (awww) and as we were walking into RR she hugged me and told me she had fun at the park-such a sweetie.

While Maria was here she went outside for a few minutes and of course the minute she walked out the door Josie started fussing. I used the opportunity to scoop her up and watch her cry. Im such a terrible person. I love pictures of crying babies. Here are her first crying pictures that Ive taken-but Im sure it wont be the last.

Families

Maria stopped by to pick up her car-and of course she stayed to visit and I got to play with the kids :) I thought this pose was too good to pass up. So cute how they are both looking at Josie-no directions either, they are both just in love with her, awww.

Next I need to finally get a shot of ME holding Josie!

Two Babies!

Today I took Maria and the kids to LA to stay with her aunt for the week. This is the first shot of the girls riding in my car together. Im sure its only the first of many times, but I wanted to snap a shot of the girls together. Kayla of course was being silly so she has no face :) It was fun to be the one to take them up there. Maria and I got to chat for the 2 hour drive (traffic was icky) and when we got there I stayed for a bit and played with the girls and visited with Maria and Chrissy.

Oh-and after putting two kids in my car, which is actually a roomy Matrix I can understand why people with only 2 kids would want a van! I was very uncomfortable with the girls in the side seats rather than just having Kayla and her in the middle (the safest seat). Basically what that means is I will be moving Kayla's carseat frequently. 'Cause if she is with me by herself I want her in the middle... SOMEday I will have my Highlander or something similar where I feel better about safety-since its bigger.

Welcome Josie Lynn

Josie Lynn is here. She is 6.4lbs (same as Kayla) and 19in long. I was standing there looking at Josie and she opened her eyes just in time for me to snap a picture.

Welcome to the world pretty girl!
